architects in a gallery
Avoiding the usual way of display an architect's work at the Rex Irwin Gallery (complex plans, expensive photographs and models) this simple exhibition system was built in 4 hours and hung in minutes.
Two pairs of four slide viewers cast in concrete allow the voyeur to be attracted to these framed views of two works of architecture. No need to interpret plans or read text, just immersion into the actual architecture.
The exhibition was designed to be economic and fully recycled after the exhibition. The concrete was broken up and returned to the earth, the viewers reused, the slides filed and the lights used in the office.
